Resources from Covenant Conversation: New Castle Presbytery
On November 11, nearly a hundred Presbyterians from across New Castle Presbytery and the country gathered at The Presbyterian Church of Dover, Delaware, for Covenant Conversation: New Castle Presbytery, “Making Space for Curiosity, Authenticity, and Community.” Participants worshiped, shared stories, and sought to live into the promises of a more inclusive Church and world. After an opening plenary exploring common language for gender and sexual identity, CNP Executive Director Brian Ellison moderated a conversation among Charles Gilmore, Tim Rodden and Slats Toole about “curiosity, authenticity, and community.” Diverse workshops offered practical ways for churches and communities to model this authentic curiosity before the day closed with a service of worship. On our event page, a number of resources from the Covenant Conversation are freely available. We hope that church leaders and members will find these resources useful in exploring curiosity, authenticity and community in their own communities of worship. The Covenant Network of Presbyterians extends deep gratitude to New Castle Presbytery and The Presbyterian Church of Dover for hosting this Covenant Conversation.
