Welcoming two of our new board members
Over the next few weeks, we'll be celebrating the new members to our Board of Directors that God has called and equipped to lend their gifts toward our vision of a more just, inclusive church. Two of our most recent new members include Nick Carson and TJ Remaley.
TJ Remaley (he/him) is the Pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Boise, Idaho, and has previously served congregations in South Carolina and Florida. A lifelong Presbyterian born and raised in central Pennsylvania, he holds M.Div and M.A.C.E. degrees from Union Presbyterian Seminary, and a Post-Baccalaureate Graduate Certificate in Patient Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to the Covenant Network board, TJ also sits on the Leadership Council of the Association of Partners in Christian Education. TJ lives in Boise with his spouse Megan, son Layton, and their two rascally cats.
Nick Carson (he/they) is the Resident Pastor at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Nick grew up in Laurel, MD and is a graduate of NC State University and most recently Columbia Theological Seminary. Nick is a creative at heart, and loves finding ways engage ministry with creativity and joy. In his free time, Nick enjoys trail running, practicing yoga, watching reality tv, doing the daily crossword, or sitting in a coffee shop with a good book.
Though they may to the board of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, both have long served as courageous advocates and voices for LGBTQIA people. We are looking forward to the ways their powerful vision will shape our continued advocacy for LGBTQIA people in the Church and world.
Please join us in extending gratitude for that work and welcoming them to our board!
