POL-01 helps PC(USA) fight discrimination for generations

In the Presbyterian Outlook, CNP Board member Daniel Herron of Olympia Presbytery explains the intent behind the overture (POL-01) that would amend ordination standards to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

If we do not discriminate on the innate aspects of a person’s humanity – such as their race, gender or ability – why would we do so for one’s sexual orientation or gender identity?
