Becoming a Welcoming Church at Pride

In June, we celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride month! As we kick off this month of affirming all God's children, especially highlighting people marginalized for their gender or sexual identities, we are sharing a new resource on our Becoming a Welcoming Church Page: A Practical Guide for Churches at Pride.This resource offers ideas, stories and photos for churches seeking to share the love of God at local Pride celebrations.Check out our other Resources for additional worship materials, curriculum, essays, articles, videos and outside sources that support congregations, church leaders and LGBTQIA+ people.

Churches can offer a powerful presence at Pride for some members of the LGBTQIA+ community, while others may not wish to engage at all. As you share the good news of God’s love, remember that the seeds of the Gospel may be sown over time as your church builds trust with its LGBTQIA+ neighbors.
