Board Member TJ Remaley Installed as Pastor at Southminster Presbyterian Church
"I'm so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside this faithful congregation. Thanks be to God for Southminster Presbyterian Church - my heart is full."
The Rev. TJ Remaley
On Sunday, June 19 at 3:00pm MDT, the Presbytery of Boise and Southminster Presbyterian Church celebrated a service of worship to glory to God and celebrate the Installation of the Rev. TJ Remaley. After the service held both live and streamed online, a reception followed in the church's fellowship hall.
"We are so grateful that you and your family answered the call to Southminster!" said member Carol Garrison.

I was born and raised in the tiny south-central town of Fairfield, Pennsylvania, located a stone's throw from the Mason-Dixon Line and just a few miles away from the famous Civil War battlefields of Gettysburg.... Prior to becoming a pastor, I led an ecumenical campus ministry, worked as an audio/visual technician in worship, volunteered as a hospital chaplain in a trauma hospital, and worked in middle school youth ministry. I am greatly blessed to serve as pastor alongside the congregation of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Boise, Idaho. I've previously served congregations in upstate South Carolina and southwest Florida. One of the things I love most about the Presbyterian tradition is our connectional nature, so I'm passionate about service to the larger church. Currently, I'm serving on the Leadership Council of the Association of Partners in Christian Education and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians...." Check out his blog for more "Musings & Meditations," including information about pronouns and the process of coming out as a bisexual pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA).We share in rejoicing for Pastor TJ's ministry and the happy, holy occasion of his installation. Join us in praying for continued blessings on this next step of the journey for him and the congregation at Southminster Presbyterian Church!
