Meet Our Newest Churches

Two new congregations have recently joined in our mission to seek an equity still not fully realized for LGBTQIA+ people in church and society. A "diverse community united in Christ", First Presbyterian Church of Niles, MI has written, "Our church is not a building. It is a group of people we know and love." As part of the membership process for the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, they have affirmed our Call to Covenant Community, extending the love and inclusivity of their congregation to LGBTQIA+ people. The second congregation, John Calvin Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, NC pictured below, states, "John Calvin Presbyterian Church believes it is a welcoming place for all people, and we feel called to be an affirming place of worship for the LGBTQIA+ community. We believe in sharing God's unconditional love with our LGBTQIA+ siblings in Christ. We are excited to proclaim we are an open and affirming faith community!"We are just as excited to include JCPC and FPC Niles in our affirming network of churches. If you'd like to explore that for your congregation, check out the Call to Covenant Community (https://covnetpres.org/about-cnp/mission-vision/) here. Reach out to brian@covnetpres.org to affirm the Call and join with all of these churches (https://covnetpres.org/find-a-church/).
