A traditional marriage liturgy
As congregations continue to rejoice in the attainment of marriage equality in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), couples are working with pastors to craft meaningful worship services to celebrate their covenant commitments. Some are developing new forms, and others prefer a traditional liturgy.Bryant Hand and Chase Robinson chose the traditional route; writes Bryant:
It was very important to me that the Presbyterian tradition play a huge role in the wedding; and ... it did.We are both members of Carrollton Presbyterian Church in Carrollton, GA. I am a Ruling Elder and sing in the choir. We are so proud of our denomination!
We are grateful that Chase and Bryant have shared the order of service for their wedding.Additional resources are being collected on our site; if you would like to contribute, please contact National Organizer Tricia Dykers Koenig.
