Commending Dialogue, Including on Ordination Standards (2/11)

A Statement of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians Board of DirectorsMeeting in Atlanta, February 7-8, 2011

The Board of the Covenant Network remains hopeful about the conversations that are ongoing across the church, including efforts to reform our ordination standards. Approving Amendment 10-A will significantly contribute to the vitality and future of the church.  Since its founding, the Covenant Network has been committed to the twin goals of making the church more just and generous, and strengthening its unity.  We believe that God is calling the PC(USA) to continued service and faithful witness to the love and reconciliation that are ours in Jesus Christ.
