Meet Our Newest Churches

Last month, we were excited to welcome First Presbyterian Church of Morrison, Glendale Presbyterian Church, and Central Presbyterian Church in Kansas City to our network of affirming churches.

Here are just a few statements highlighting their journey in this process:"Full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ persons in the life of PC (USA) was championed by our congregation.... And now, by joining Covenant Network, we strengthen our commitment to our LGBTQIA+ members and neighbors and remain devoted to inclusivity and diversity in worship and mission." Central Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, MO"We look forward to being a part of the Network and to supporting its mission.... We look forward to being able to use future sermons that will help the congregation achieve its goal of being affirmatively welcoming of all people into fellowship without regard to sexual orientation or gender identity." Glendale Presbyterian Church in St. Louis, MO"For years we have proclaimed that we are 'open and accepting' to all, but at the end of 2021, the Session decided it was time to become a More Light Presbyterian Church as well as join the Covenant Network of Presbyterians.... We strive for justice for all in this world. We believe that in Christ, we are one. As God's love is for all, we too seek to love one another, following Jesus' commandment." First Presbyterian Church of Morrison, ILIf any of the above statements resonate with you, your congregation can join CNP like all of these churches: covnetpres.org/find-a-church/).
