A Thanksgiving message from CNP

The holiday season can particularly highlight the loneliness felt by LGBTQIA+ people unwelcome in their families or communities of origin. At the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, we’ve seen personal connections and honest conversations change hearts and minds about LGBTQIA+ inclusion. This year, and every year, we are thankful for your support as we have those conversations in the Church, working for the day when all know they are beloved in the family of Christ.

If Thanksgiving brings up painful memories or experiences for you, remember that you are not alone, that many experience what you feel. Know that God is with you and the prayers of your siblings in Christ surround you today.

Below is a list of resources available that may provide additional support during this time. Many of these resources are available for free, 24/7 and specify that you don't need to feel suicidal to reach out. Trained listeners are prepared to help across a variety of situations with a listening ear and encouragement.
