Members of the congregation support twelve different local ministries and social service programs.Setauket Presbyterian Church, Setauket, NYJohn Kloepfer, Interim PastorFounded in 1660, the Setauket Presbyterian Church celebrated its 350th anniversary in 2010.  As “active disciples of Jesus Christ,” the congregation has had a longtime commitment to Christian education, peacemaking, and social justice.  Just two examples are its strong support of a network of soup kitchens on Long Island and a seventeen–year partnership with a church in Cuba.  A Setauket member is featured as an “unsung servant” in the December 2010 Presbyterians Today.Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church, Plainfield, NJRob Martin, PastorAre you looking for engaging worship, inspirational music, unique spiritual development opportunities, community outreach and international mission experiences?  You’ll find these and more at this downtown church.  The congregation supports local food programs for homeless families and has recently sent mission trips to New Orleans (for post-Katrina construction) and to Kumba, Cameroon.Explore the vibrant and varied ministries of these exciting congregations through their websites, or drop by if you are in their neighborhoods.
