GLAAD and other faith organizations around the world are celebrating Spirit Day today, supporting LGBTQ youth and taking a stand against bullying.

Since the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) approved inclusive policies on ordination and marriage a decade ago, our presbyteries and our congregations are having better conversations and taking meaningful action to protect LGBTQ youth.

Our Covenant Conversations have educated congregations about creating inclusive youth groups, parenting or grandparenting LGBTQ youth, and other topics specifically geared toward affirming marginalized young people.

In the face of discriminatory legislation targeting LGBTQ youth, we are equipping the church to fight hate and oppression against any of God’s children, and hope you’ll join us in celebrating Spirit Day.
