The Covenant Network of Presbyterians Comes to Boston

This year, Newton Presbyterian Church, just outside Boston, has joined the more than 300 congregations of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, affirming their commitment to being and supporting an ever more inclusive church. In celebration, executive director Brian Ellison will lead the congregation in worship Sunday, March 8, at 10:15 a.m., at 75 Vernon Street in Newton.

Then, on Sunday afternoon at Fourth Church, 340 Dorchester St. in Boston, pastors and church members from around the area are invited to a discussion about the state of welcoming LGBTQIA+ people in the Presbyterian Church called “So Much Left To Do.” Over pie and coffee, we’ll talk about the gains of the past decade as well as the substantial challenges that remain—including practical steps that every congregation and Presbyterian can take to build a more welcoming church and world. It’s a great chance to meet the Covenant Network of Presbyterians staff and to connect with other local Presbyterians on the journey toward justice and inclusion. Join us!
