BGLASS (Bisexual, Gay, Lesbian, And Straight Supporters) provides support, advocacy, education, and fellowship to members of the Princeton Theological Seminary community, especially those who identify themselves as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, or inter-sex (GLBTQQI). BGLASS believes that all persons should be fully included in the church, while recognizing that sexuality is an integral part of who we are as Christians and, thus, should not be set aside when discerning God‘s call to ministry. To that end, BGLASS witnesses to the love and justice of God for all people within the PTS community. Here at PTS, BGLASS seeks to engage in dialogue within our unique community to further create a safe place within the PTS community for all peoples.

BGLASS offers a variety of activities, including regular board meetings, workshops, educational forums, movie screenings, fellowship and social events, and a confidential support group for GLBTQQI persons. Several annual highlights include lectures and discussions, centering around Theology and Biblical Studies, often led by PTS faculty. BGLASS’ year culminates in the spring semester with its annual BGLASS Week, featuring panel discussions, keynote speakers, workshops, festivities on the seminary quad, and a closing worship service in Miller Chapel, often presided over by the seminary’s very own president, Iain Torrance.

The current Co-Moderators of BGLASS are Chad Schwickerath and Sarah Messner. You can also email the organization directly and privately at [email protected] – or if interested in our confidentiality group and anonymity, please email [email protected].
