In the past, Presbytery-related Covenant Network/LGBT issues have been discussed and related events and strategy have been planned in the Open & Affirming Subcommittee at First Presbyterian Church, Columbus, IN. The committee was able to reach out successfully into many parts of the Presbytery of the Ohio Valley for the most recent vote on PCUSA ordination standards in 2011.
The Open & Affirming committee meets once every two months at 12 p.m. on a Sunday and spends much of its time focusing on local church and community activities, education, and discussion.
