You can help make February one of the most important months in the decades-long journey for inclusion, equality and love in the Presbyterian Church.

By the end of the month of February, more than half the presbyteries will have voted on the amendment that seeks to extend the good gift of marriage to all. We’ve had a good start, but there is still much work to do. The Covenant Network is working tirelessly this month to organize, educate and advocate for a successful outcome — approval by 86 or more presbyteries. With faithful discernment and real effort, we may soon be closer to passage of the amendment, and to a brighter, more inclusive reality in the PCUSA.

But we need your help more than ever. And now, there’s a great reason to be extra generous with that support.

Three donors have pledged to match, dollar for dollar, all contributions of $86 or more in the month of February (up to $1000 each). That means that your gift of $86 will have quadruple the impact. It’s like giving more than $300.

These are funds that enable national organizer Tricia Dykers Koenig to coordinate efforts across the country. They provide resources like the DVD now available featuring Mark Achtemeier on his journey to understanding same-sex marriage as a joyful fulfillment of biblical guidance. They underwrite planning for our 2015 national conference this fall. And they carry us closer to developing new initiatives that will help the church live into a new inclusive day.
