As presbyteries around the country begin to discuss an update to the description of marriage in the Book of Order, the Covenant Network is pleased to announce a series of regional conferences. With compelling speakers, powerful worship and plenty of time for building relationships and making connections, these conferences will help to shape the future of the church.

Following a new pattern established by the board in 2012, the “Marriage Matters” regional conferences will take the place of the Covenant Network’s 2014 national Covenant Conference, and will represent our primary educational and networking activity of 2014-15. Each conference will contribute in a unique way to the churchwide conversation about the full meaning and richness of marriage for all people while addressing particular questions facing local churches and communities.

Conferences will be held:

  • October 11 — Springfield, Illinois
  • November 1 — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • November 8 — Memphis, Tennessee
  • November 22 — Newport Beach, California
  • January 10 — Richmond, Virginia
  • January 24 — Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • January 31 — Mercer Island, Washington

Information on each conference will be posted as it becomes available, with registration for the earliest conferences opening no later than September 1. Each one-day conference will include lunch, and—as always—registration is free for seminary or college students.
