Our Award-Winning Executive Director!

Covenant Network Executive Director Brian Ellison was honored last weekend by the Religion Newswriters Association. Together with two colleagues at KCUR-FM, Brian won Second Place in the Radio/Podcast Religion Report of the Year, a national contest recognizing excellence in professional journalists.

For several years, in addition to his work in ministry, Brian has been a substitute host and producer for the radio station, which is Kansas City’s NPR affiliate. He introduced a recurring “Religion Roundtable” feature on the daily talk show “Up to Date.” The award-winning broadcast was a discussion of the afterlife that Brian hosted featuring a rabbi, a Buddhist priest, and Baptist seminary professor.
